Matthew 25-28

February 16, 2010
Matthew 25-28

Chapter 25, verses 1-13:
These verses are about the Five Foolish Virgins and the Five Wise Virgins.
Verse 13: "Watch ye therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."
Jesus will come back for us, when we least expect it. "EXPERTS" can tell us when He'll return, all they want to, but NOBODY knows when that will be, except for GOD, Himself. NO ONE!

Verses 14-30:
These verses are about the Talents.
Verse 29: "For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath."
If we do as God commands, and have all that we need to make it to Heaven some day, then we will have the best gift of all ~ Heaven. But, if we don't follow after God, and we don't have those Spiritual things, then we will lose everything. We will burn in the Lake of Hell Fire.

Verses 31-46:
These verses are about the Judgement Day With the Sheep and the Goats.
Verse 40: "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say it unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
When we do things for people, no matter who they are, we are doing things for Jesus. Everything we do should be in His name.

Verse 45: "Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."
When we don't do for others, as we should, it's the same as not doing for Jesus.

Chapter 26, verse 41: "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak."
We should always go to God in prayer, and ask Him to keep us from temptation. We can not withstand the temptations on our own. No matter how strong we are, we will fail, if we do not have God's help.

Chapters 27&28:
These two chapters are very powerful chapters. They tell of the Death, Burial, and Ressurection of Jesus Christ. We should read them quite often.

The next chapters are Job 16-18
