Proverbs 16&17

Proverb 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
If we commit all our activities; all our deeds; to God, then our very thoughts will be faithful to Him.

:8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
It is better to be poor and do God's Will, than to be rich beyond measure and have no law within us.

:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
To be prideful can cause us to destroy ourselves, and being haughty can cause us to be humiliated.

:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Just because we think that a certain way is the right way, doesn't make it so. God decides which is the right way, and if we don't do that, then we are in trouble.

17:27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

:28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
Even when someone who is known to say and do foolish things is quiet about a matter, they are considered to be a wise person.

The next chapters are 1Kings 1-4.
