Verse of the Day

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” -Matthew 7:13-14 Listen to chapter

Proverb 18&19

Proverb 18:9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
The concordance says that slothful means idle and waster means destructive. Being idle instead of busy is the same as being destructive.

:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
I love this verse. Hehe! But, it can only be a good thing if the wife is Godly.

19:18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
Don't be afraid to punish your children when they need it, just because they cry and carry on and maybe make a scene. It is our duty to discipline them. If we don't discipline them now, while they are young, then it will one day be too late.

The next chapters are 1 Kings 5-9.
