1 John

1John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
I believe that everything that was written in the Bible was so that we could have the joy in our lives, knowing we have a home in Heaven with God, waiting for us.

:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
If we live our lives as Christ lived His, then we have fellowship with those who also walk after Him.
If we say theat we do not sin, then we are lying, and that is a sin. And we make God a liar, which he isn't, and we do not have His Word in us.
Now, if we confess our sins, then He will forgive us.

2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
We are not to love the things this world has to offer us. Because, God is not of the world. Wouldn't we rather love God, who is forever, that the world, which will be gone some day?

3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
We can't just say that we love God, we have to show it.

The next chapters are Ezekiel 7-12.
