Ecclesiastes 5-8

Ecclesiastes 5:11 When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?
It sounds to me like Solomon was saying that when people are able to get more food, they tend to get fat while eating that food.

:12 The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
A man who works hard, whether he has much to show for it or not, will sleep due to exhaustion. But, rich men are so worried that someone is going to steal what they have, they can't sleep.

7:1 A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.
Keeping a good reputation is the best thing we can do, and dying can lead us into everlasting LIFE.

:9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
To be quick to anger is very foolish. We are to stay calm.

The next chapters are 2 Kings 21-25.
