Simple Woman's Daybook ~ 31

Check out others' Daybooks

FOR TODAY...  October 19, 2010

Outside my window... I stormed pretty good this morning! Yay! Rain!

I am thinking... I need some new simple breakfast ideas for the kids. They sometimes fix their own breakfast, and toast and cereal are getting old. Any suggestions?

I am thankful for... Children's Hospital ER ~ Nicole and I took her son, Seth last night. The family had been at their house, and as we were all leaving, Nicole and I got to looking at the poor baby. We took him to another room, where it was quiet, and listened to him breathing. He was wheezing up a storm. So, I went home with Hubby and Kids, to get them ready for bed, while Nicole got Seth ready to go. Then she came and got me, and we went to the ER. We waited probably 10 mins, before the Triage nurse came and got us. After that, we went straight to a room. After a breathing treatment, medicine, and x-rays, we finally got home at 3:00 am. About 2, we saw a woman and her baby go to a room. She had been sitting in the waiting room before we got there (just before 11:00pm). We were glad they decided Seth was a more important case than others. They were extremely busy!

I am wearing... my pjs! Yes, my PJs!

I am remembering... taking my own boys to the ER, with breathing problems, at that age. NO FUN!!!

I am going... try to get some stuff accomplished, this week.

I am currently reading... "The Longing" by Beverly Lewis

From the learning rooms... Bible, Math, Astronomy, Grammer, and Copywork.

I am creating... a new Daily Schedule, a new Schedule for School, and a List of Different Foods to Fix

I am hoping... I feel better, soon!

Pondering these words... 1 John 1  Read it sometime!

I am hearing... Boys, Boys, and more Boys! LOL
From the kitchen... I think today will be a simple day. Either breakfast for supper, or Biscuit Pizzas.

Around the house... We are doing Fall Cleaning along with Ms Candice at Sonbeams

One of my favorite things... Nephew Seth's Eyes! They remind me of the Precious Moments Eyes!

A few plans for the rest of the week: More Fall Cleaning, Helping April get ready for a yard sale, and HOPEFULLY some sleep! LOL

Here is picture for thought I am sharing... My parents, while on vacation, earlier this month.

  1. If the idea is for the kids to be able to get their own breakfast, you could make lots of muffins and put them in the freezer. Take them out the evening before and there's breakfast.

  2. How about Frozen waffles or pancakes? If you don't want to use the bought ones from the store you can make and freeze your own with wax paper in between...I buy these when they're on sale-2 for 1 and my granddaughter prepares her own in the microwave.
Have a good week. Feel better. Fall is a beautiful season and my favorite but it does cause problems with my asthma...thankful for inhalers.
