Thankful Thursday!

So much has been happening in our area, lately. Horrible storms, fatal tornadoes, and fatal flooding all around us. Alabama got it worse, but we had friends who got hit by the Vilonia, Arkansas one, too. Their propery was (and still is) a mess. The house was damaged, the barn is gone, trees down everywhere.

My Thankfulness for Today:

The entire family was uninjured!! They all made it to the storm celler. Yes, there were some scary moments for them, but they are all safe and sound! Praise God for that!

Today's Thankfulness

It's 3:00 am, and I am about to get ready to go have my surgery.

   Today, as I go to the hospital, I am thankful for many people in my life. So many are helping me through this, and I love them all for it.
   My Mother ~ She's going to be there at the hospital all day today, tonight, and until the release me tomorrow. She's taking me home with her from there, and I will be staying there for Three weeks. The rest of the family are suppose to come Sunday, after Church.
   My Dad ~ For letting us envade his home for three weeks.
   My In-Laws ~ For coming up here last night and staying the weekend here with the kids. My MIL had to take two days off to do that. She's a teacher at their local school.
   Nicole ~ She has offered to come here and do a once over of the house sometime before I come back home. Isn't that the sweetest thing for her to do?
   Nicole's Mother (along with a few other Wonderful Women) ~ They have all been so kind to answer any questions I might have had and give advice they thought would be helpful. When someone has "been there done that" it's wonderful to be able to get info from them. Thanks Ladies!
   My Husband ~ He's tried very hard to be patient while I have gone on my Emotional Rollercoaster.
   My Boys ~ They are the best boys a Mom could wish for. I wouldn't trade a one of them for all the girls in the world!
   Everyone Else ~ Thanks for all the Prayers you've said on my behalf. I love you all!

Thanksgiving

     Today, my normal Thursday Thankfulness post is especially fitting, since it is Thanksgiving Day.
     So, today, I am thankful that I live in a country were I am allowed to serve God as I choose. I'm thankful that my family has been blessed with enough food to make us too full. I am thankful that we have a roof ove our heads, and nice beds to sleep in. I'm thankful that we have a car that can get us to where we want to go. I am thankful for my wonderful family and that we are going to spend a great day together. I am thankful that we are a relatively healthy family. I am thankful for our electricity and phone, so I can communicate with each and everyone of you. I am thankful for the running water that is piped right into my home. I am thankful for all those extras that we always seem to take for granted. And most importantly, I am thankful for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, because without Them, none of the other stuff would even matter.
    
     May each and everyone of you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Thankful Thursday

So, today, I want to show my appreciation to my friends. Throughout the years, I have had a problem that I just couldn't seem to take care of. I struggled with it daily. Many people tried to help, and noone seemed to understand. I believe that has all changed!
Some friends, whom I would have to say that I've grown very close to over the last few months, have really began to help. I still have a LONG way to go, before this problem is totally fixed, and I'm still not convinced that anyone REALLY undestands the full extent, but these friends are doing the best they can. Along with my husband's support and understanding, and these precious friends, I think I'm gonna make it! lol
I pray that they will continue to have patience with me, and continue to love me enough to help me through it all. I love each and everyone of them so much, and I thank God that they are there for me. I've known them all for a long time, and I thank each one for the time they've given me these last few months.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

Thankful Thursday

A new, weekly post that I am gonna do, is all about things to be thankful for. And, in all honesty, it has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. I've been considering doing weekly posts, for each day of the week, and this is one I thought might benefit everyone, not just me. And that's the purpose of this blog. To let my light shine for others. So, welcome to THANKFUL THURSDAY.

Today, I am thankful for my little family. My husband is a good man. We may not always agree on everything, but he does try to make us happy. The boys are great kids. They may get on my nerves at times, but most of the time, they keep me laughing. They are sweet, considerate boys. I'm extra thankful for them these days. Knowing that I won't have any girls, makes me grateful that I was able to have four children. Having to have this hysterectomy in 4 weeks, has made me more aware of those who can't have any children, or just one. And I had four! How blessed I am! So, today, I am thankful for my family!
