Matthew 10-14

Chapter 10, verse 8: "...freely ye have received, freely give."
There are so many things that we, as Americans, have been blessed with. We need to be willing to share what we have with those who do not.

Verse 28: "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
Why do we worry about spreading God's Word to others? Because we are worried about what they might do to us? Maybe, but it says right here, that we are not to worry about them. We should, instead, worry about what God might do, if we don't tell others about Him.

Verses 37&38: "He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me."
If we let our family dictate what we are to do in this life, then we run the risk of God being unhappy. It doesn't matter what your family thinks, as long as you are doing God's Will. If we let our family influence us, when it comes to matters of right and wrong, then we are putting them before God. Follow God, not your family (unless, of course, your family is doing God's Will...LOL).

Chapter 14, verse 31: "...O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"
Has God ever had a reason to say this to us?

Tomorrow's chapters are Job 7-9.
