ART CLASS with JACOB

I've decided to do some posts on the boys' schoolwork. What they're doing, what they like, what they don't like... lol.
Today, is Jacob's Art!
Jacob' passion is his ART. He loves to draw, and color, and make things. His handwriting is very good, too. This week for art, he was to color little pictures on a path chart, then glue it to a piece of construction paper. The purpose to the project was to use this chart for tracking things. Every A, three blocks are colored. Every B, two blocks, and C's got one block. We decided to do something a little different. Each subject the boys do, has ten workbooks, called LightUnits. So, every LightUnit completed gets a block.
I wanted to do this for both boys, so I made photo copies of the original. I did an extra one for Blake, and saved the real one for future uses. We hung them up on the wall, above the computer.
Blake doesn't do the LightUnits, so we made his into a God Behavior Chart. When he goes a whole day without being in serious trouble (this is going to be hard for him), he gets a block colored.

I'll post Jacob's later. I deleted it from here and can't get it back, yet. Lane's is for his completed LightUnits. He doesn't have any blocks colored as of yet, but he's close. He'll get several colored this week, more than likely.

Here are some other Art projects Jacob has done.
I'm really not sure what the purpose for this one was, but he followed the directions very well.

He enjoyed doing this one. Each crayon is loose, and can slide into the box.
Here are some future projects.
This is to be a house that will stand up. He can't wait to do this one. I believe it's the next one.

This one, he'll put a piece of tracing paper on top, trace and color it. One of his favorite things to do in Art.

This will be a new concept for Jacob. He'll be learning how to do perspective drawing and tracing. He will take the big picture and turn it into the small one.

Jacob asks to do Art every day. I try to get it in once a week, because he'll run out of projects before the end of our school year. He doesn't know, but I found the coolest Christmas gift for him, thanks to this site. http://thepioneerwoman.com/homeschooling/2009/09/ed-emberleys-drawing-book-of-animals/ I think he will LOVE it. And they are not that expensive, so he COULD get more than one! Maybe then, he can do more Art each day.
