James

Previous comments.
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Patience is important. But, we can not gain patience without troubles.

2:17
We can;t have faith in God, and NOT do His Will.

4:7
Do what God says, stay away from the Devil, and he will leave you alone.

The next chapters are Revelations 9-12.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Proverbs 30&31

Go here for my previous comments.
Proverb 30:33
   Great verse!

Proverb 31:3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
:5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
:6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
:7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

Could someone explain these verses to me?

Now, about Proverb 31:10-31. I know I said I'd put my thoughts on these verses, in here at the end of the year. I'm still not ready to do that. I'm hoping that I can put some major study into these verses after the first of the new year. My plan, and we all know how those can go nuts, is to take a whole month and study a verse a day. I think I can get more out of it that way. I hope to post my studying as I do it. *Fingures Crossed* lol I haven't done so well with keeping up with my daily bible posting this year. Hope I can do better next year. I have many plans for this blog.

The next chapters are Nehemiah 5-9.

Hebrews 10-13

My previous comments.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
The only thing we need is to know that God will never forsake us!!!

The next chapters are Revelations 5-8.

Proverbs 28&29

My previous comments.
Proverb 28:9
Not a comforting thought for those who refuse to obey the law.

:27
So many verses command us to care for the poor!!!

29:7
   And, another one!

The next chapters are Nehemiah 1-4.
The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

John 1-4

My previous comments.
Jonh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
We all know these verses are speaking of Jesus Christ. Isn't it wonderful?!!

The next chapters are Proverbs 28&29.

Psalms 137-139

Psalm 139:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
:2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
:3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
:4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
Depending on how you look at this, these words can either be comforting, or they can be extremely scary!!

The next chapters are Deuteronomy 20-22.

Revelations 1-4

Revelations 1-4

Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
God has probably said this to all of us, at one time or another.

:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
I pray that God can say these words to me.

:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

These too, would be wonderful things to hear from God.

3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
How terrible! Are we HOT in our faithfulness? Even being COLD is betterb than being LUKEWARM!!

I'm not sure how many comments you'll see with the rest of this Book. This is NOT one I fully understand.

The next chapters are Psalms 137-139.
