Family Pictures

We were suppose to go to the in-laws, over the holiday weekend. My MIL wanted family pictures. We hadn't had any since before Reagan was born, back in November. It was also Anthony's older brother, Jonathan, and HIS oldest son, Connor's birthdays. Connor is now a TEENAGER!!! When did THAT happen?!!!

Well, due to illness, of sorts, I was unable, at the last minute, to go. So, Anthony decided to go on ahead and take the boys, anyway. That would give me a quiet weekend to relax, and the boys could still see the family.

They went ahead and did the pictures. Here are a few:

The entire family, minus me

Ryan, Anthony, Carol, Landon, Johnny, Jennifer, and Jonathan
Ruth holding Reagan, Lane, Jacob, Blake, Garrett, Justin, and Connor

Huh! Look at that! Same spots, except now Anthony's got Landon,
and there's Miss Dolly, the in-laws dog.

Now we have Anthony, Jennifer, and Jonathan, in the back
Lane, Pappaw w/Landon, Grandma w/ Reagan, Garrett, Justin, and Connor in the center row
Jacob, Blake, Ruth, and Ryan in the front

And some with the grands and the kids and just the kids

Connor, Jacob, Garrett, Uncle Jonathan (making sure no one falls out of the tree), and Landon all in the tree
Blake, Justin w/ Reagan, and Lane

Jacob, Connor & Landon, Lane,Justin & Reagan, Garrett, and Blake

Grandma, Reagan, Landon, and Pappaw
Lane, Jacob, Blake, Garrett, Justin, and Connor

Then, the individual families:

Grandma Carol and Pappaw Johnny
(ain't they sweet?)

Jennifer, Jonathan
Justin, Connor
and Garrett

Anthony, Landon
Lane, Jacob, and Blake
I'm gonna have to frame this one. even if I HAD been there to be in the shot,
I'd have asked to have one of just my guys. Don't they all look so handsome?

Ryan, Ruth
and our newest addition ~ Reagan!!
The boys and I call her our Little Rose
(based on the book Eight Cousins)
You should read it, if you haven't. It's a sweet story.

Plus, they had one made of Mom and Dad and the Boys

Anthony (the Middle Child), Carol, Ryan (the Baby), Johnny, and Jonathan (the Oldest)

And just because she so sweet and delicious looking.......a few more of the Rose!!!

The blue really makes her eyes pop, don't they?!!

Well, I hope you enjoyed these!!
Until next time,

Psalm 127:3-5 "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."

They Know More Than You Think They Do!

Landon, our two year old, keeps us rolling all day, every day. He is a sweetheart, a goofball, a flirt, and a BOY all rolled up in one! He starts from the moment he gets up and doesn't finish till he goes to bed. Today, I thought I'd share a few of his antics with you all.

He mimics everyone, all the time. He knows how to count to ten, and he can do it in Spanish, also. With out the practice, he doesn't do it in Spanish very well, anymore, but he used to could. He sings and dances, trys to say the alphabet (he does pretty good) and loves to put puzzles together.

Veggie Tales~Landon LOVES (and that is an understatement) Veggie Tales! He loves to sing along with the songs, and he can repeat the movies very well. One of his favorite movies is "The Ballad of Little Joe". Those of you who have seen it, will know the song they sing, "Oh, Little Joe!". Landon goes around the house, and at the top of his lungs will sing, "Oh, Yiiittle Dooooooee!" It's perfectly in tune. He knows exactly when to lower and raise his voice to make the music.
His favorite part in that movie? The part where Little Joe (aka Larry the Cucumber) and the entire town has just filled the buildings with food, and then they see the dust storm coming. Little Joe hollors, "Everyone, run for shelter!!!" Landon has his own version. It's hard to explain when you can't see him do it, but I'll try my best. He stands very still, then as he takes off running, he yells (at the top of his lungs), "Ebyone, run ta peppa!!!" LOL The first time he did this, we thought he was saying something about Dr. Pepper. Then he did it during the movie! ROFL!!!!
His favorite Veggie Tales Song? The Theme Song! If you've watched the movies, you know the song. I'll give you his version, instead. And keep in mind, he does it with the correct tune. "Ok, Lawy, get out der! Ok, dey beder not waf!" *starts singing* "If you like it, talk to tamatas. If a quas can make you miiiale! Hab we dot show fa you! Bege Taaales! Bege Taaales! Be Ge Tales! Bocadi, Celdawy, goda be, Bege Tales! begebegebegebegebege Be Ge Tales! (Aka: There's never ever been a show like Veggie Tales)" *Then comes the ending* "Brump" (Falls to the ground) "Shewmp! Ahahahahaha!!!" ( You know the part where Larry falls with his Tuba and blows the flower out and every one laughs?)
His favorite Silly Song? "Bellybutton!"  "Beldy butum, Uh uh! Do I yest get yody pop?"

Dollar Monies~ Today, I was visiting The Parson's Store (my Sister's pantry) to get a bag of tortilla chips to go with our supper. I handed two $1 bills to Landon, for him to give to the April. He handed them to her, and she asked him what they were. We thought he'd say monies. That's what he calls all cash, coin, cards, and checks.  Nope! He said, "George Washington!!!" *Up went my eyebrows, down went my jaw!* April had about the same reaction! We got so tickled at him. After we got done laughing, she asked him, "What else are they?" He very seriously replied, "Dollar Monies!" LOL

Bible Verses~ Landon learned three Bible Verses, while at Nanny and Poppaw's for 2 1/2 weeks, as we worked on the house (I promise those posts are coming as soon as I can). I'll give you the referance and his version.
Matthew 5:9 "Peace are peace-makers! They be called da Chiwldwen a God!"
John 11:35 " Desus wet!"
Genesis 1:1 "In da beginnin, Ga ceaded da heban an de earf!!" (This one he can say with out any prompting!)

Books~ One of Landon's favorite things to do, is to sit with a stack of books and look through them one by one. He has the stack on one side of him, and as he finishes, he sets them on the other side. When he gets through the entire stack (which could be 10-15) he starts from the top and reads them again, this time, setting them back in the original spot. He could do this for hours!
One problem we have with this, that we are trying to deal with, is when his brothers go to get one of the books, since "he's not reading it, he set it down", he starts screaming at them to "gib it back! it's mine!" After dealing with the screaming, I then have to remind the others that this is the way he reads. He thinks that he's reading them, whether they are sitting next to him or in his lap.

Movie's Over~There are a couple of movies that Landon loves to sit and watch. If I'd let him, he'd sit there all day watching them over and over and over again. But, I don't. Now he has a new saying. While shaking his head no, he says very sadly, "I watch Nions, Tigers, and Beears (or Bege Tales) anymore, I dust cwy it's ober." Actually, that's an understatement. He SCREAMS when they are over! So, we have quit letting him watch these two particular movies for a while. The lions, tigers, and bears movie is a Baby Einstine Wild Animals Movie, and the Veggie Tales one, is a Silly Songs Movie.
He doesn't do this with any other movies, just these two. I don't know why he thinks they have to be on repeat. Maybe they aren't as long as he thinks they're suppose to be, or something.

Well, I hope you enjoyed these goofy stories. I'll quit now. There are so many, that if you've made it this far, you'd be up all night! LOL

ABCs.....R...K...B...H...A....

*EDIT* For those of you reading this in your reader, I've just discovered you will not be able to see the video. Just click on the Title to this post and it will take you to my site. You can see it there.

Landon loves to sing, and his favorite song is, "Hey, Hey, Hey, Goodbye!" When he gets to singing it, it's hard to get him to focus on other things. Here's a video of us attempting to get him to focus on other things. Eventually, we sort of succeed. LOL One way, was to get him to say the alphabet. But, what does he do at the end? LOL He also does some Spanish. It's great! You gotta watch! Hope you enjoy!

I tried to get this on here the other day, but it quit working. I finally got it on here. For those of you viewing my blog site (and not through your reader) be sure to go to the bottom of the page and pause the music.

"Happy Dayday!"

Well, I'm 32 today! I've had many well wishes on my facebook page. Everyone has been so sweet!

Last night, Anthony got called back to work, right after getting home. I had been feeling bad, so hadn't cooked supper. I was going to have him get something when he got back. Well, it was close to 9:00 pm, before he got home. Strangely enough, no one had mentioned being hungry, till then. Well, I ended up going to get dinner, and Anthony called me while I was gone. He had to go back to work. Well, we ate a fast supper and Anthony left. Since we'd eaten so late, I let the boys stay up late, watching Little House on the Prairie. I finally happened to look at the clock and saw it was 11:30pm, so I had the boys get their pjs on. Jacob asked if they could just stay up till Daddy got home, since they hadn't seen him very much. I told them no, and Daddy walked in the door! LOL
I looked at the boys and said, Okay, you stayed up til Dady got home, now go to bed! They knew I was kidding. We sat and visited with Daddy for a few minutes, then Anthony called Landon over to him and whispered in his ear. Landon came over to me and said, "Happy Dayday!" I said, "Thank you very much, Sweet Baby!", gave him a kiss and looked at the clock. It was 12:06 am. It was officially my birthday! I was born at 12:06 am, June 18, 1978, on Father's Day Morning.
Anyway, After that, Landon kept coming back and saying "Happy Dayday", over and over. I'd say "thank you, Baby", and he'd say, "No! Much!" He wanted me to say, "Thank you very much!" LOL He's been doing it all morning, tady, too. Haha! Silly boy!

Cousins

As many of you might recall, we went to Oklahoma, April 16-18, to see Anthony's older brother, and his family. It had been almost 5 years since we'd been there, so we were looking forward to it. We also got to see my youngest brother's house, on our way.
We had a busy, crazy, fun-filled weekend. We enjoyed ourselves (except for the fact, it rained on us almost the entire weekend) with one activity after another.
We left home on Thursday evening, to go see Cody's house. We spent the night with my cousin, Daniel (Tera and the Twins were out of town), and got up Friday morning to go the rest of the way. We could have made the trip in one evening, but knew that the nephews had to be up early for school, and we didn't want to distract them Friday morning.
We got to town a little after noon. None of the nephews knew we were coming, so we surprised all three of them. Such fun, that look on their faces! LOL
It started raining almost immediately. It didn't rain very hard or very long that time. After we went to get the older two nephews from school, we all went to a nearby park, and took pictures of all seven boys. We wanted to have a picture of all seven for Grandma, for Mother's Day! I just got copies this week, so enjoy!

I think this is the one we gave Carol.
Landon, Garrett, Blake, Jacob, Justin, Lane, Connor

I really like this one with them all on one rock!

They kept us rolling at times.
Jon and Jen's three ~ Justin 9, Connor 11, and Garrett 4
Our four ~ Blake 5, Lane 10, Jacob 8, and Landon 2
Blake and Garrett
Lane and Connor
( I guess we never took one of Justin and Jacob)
I had one of these made in black and white!
Lane
Jacob
Blake
Landon
Connor
Justin
Garrett
Anthony and Jonathan
Prince Landon
I LOVE THIS ONE!! I had a big 8x10 made of this one
(I just cropped the date off)

Saturday, we went to Garrett's soccer game, Justin's birthday party (Justin and Anthony had birthdays the next day), and Church that night. I got to see my childhood friend (still is ;) lol) while we were there. Her husband was the one preaching that weekend.
Sunday, we had two services and a potluck in between. We left that evening and made it home after midnight. We were exhausted, but had loads of fun! Next time we go, maybe things won't be so hectic, and Jen and I can go shopping, and we can take the boys to the zoo, or something. Lord Willing, it won't be five years from now!

Fun in the Sun

Our entire family has had the flu since last Tuesday. Anthony and ALL FOUR boys got it Tuesday, Anthony was better by Thursday. I woke up Thursday, with it. The kids and I are still pretty sick. Anthony had the stomach flu (as well as Lane), and the rest of us had the regular flu (as did Lane).

I had Blake in the ER on Saturday Morning around 3:30. They tested him for flu and it was positive. I already was sure that's what we'd had, but that confirmed it. I took Landon to the Doc, later that morn, around 9:00. He also had another double ear infection. (I had to set up an appointment with an ENT, for the end of the month.) By Noon, I was exhausted. I was still sick and hadn't been to bed yet (Blake had been having trouble breathing, so I'd stayed up with him til I'd decided he needed more than I could give him). I got a bit of a nap, then at 9:30, that night, Lane began to experience severe pain in his chest and stomach. I thought it was probably just muscule pain from coughing so much, but with his Asthma, I didn't want to take a chance on it being pnuemonia. So, back to the ER, I went. We finally got home around 2:00 in the morn. There had been two major emergencies while we were there. Finally, after being there for four hours, we found out that, yes, he had pain from coughing. *sigh......* Oh well, at least it wasn't pnuemonia.

So anyway, the point to that:
The boys and I have been very sick. We've been so couped up this winter. And the weather was beautiful yesterday.
So,after Lane and Jacob did a bit of schoolwork (and Landon had gone to sleep), I had the three older boys go out to play. When Daddy got home, Landon woke up, and we all went out for a bit. Anthony got the bikes down for the boys, and I had him get Landon's trike down, also. Landon had never been on it, before, and he couldn't reach the pedals, but he enjoyed sitting there and being pushed.
Blake got a new bike in October, for his birthday. Since the weather has not been "bike friendly", he hasn't gotten to ride it much. He was enjoying this ride.
The older two got new bikes for Christmas. All three bikes came from Grandma and Pappaw. Lane and Jacob also have not gotten to ride much since December.
Landon was loving having Daddy and Momma help.
Then, Daddy got out his bike. Yes, that's Momma on there, too. I used to ride a bike, with a skirt on, all the time, when I was a kid. Just not one with a bar on top. It was kinda hard getting on and off with that tight skirt. But, I did it. And Anthony didn't think I could. He wasn't even convienced I could ride a bike period. lol I don't guess I've ridden a bike our entire 11 1/2 years of marriage. Funny.
Thought I throw in this one, too. The boys put a hat on Landon, last night, and he liked it. He looked like Bubba! So, I had to get the pic.
They are all still pretty sick, but it was such a nice day. I heard a ton of coughing throughout the night, but they enjoyed themselves. And isn't that all that really matters, anyway?
